School-Based Behavioral Health sub-Action TEam

Our purpose is to improve access to mental health and substance abuse services for adolescents. We will accomplish this by building and strengthening provider-school collaborative partnerships to deliver mental health and substance abuse services directly in schools. 

Goals & Objectives:

 

Goal:

Improve access to mental health & substance abuse services for adolescents.

  • Objective 1:  Increase the number of public schools in Lake County that offer mental health and substance abuse services.

  • Objective 2:  Increase the number of students receiving mental health and substance abuse services.

  • Objective 3:  Reduction in Absenteeism.

  • Objective 4:  Increase in percent of students who feel they could talk to an adult who wasn’t their parent about something important.

1. Landscape Survey

In partnership with the Regional Office of Education, a survey was conducted in an attempt to learn information about behavioral health services and resources currently available to students in Lake County.
